I acknowledge my own self-worth!

Psalm 139:13-16 (ESV) *emphasis is mine

13 For you formed my inward parts;
    you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.[a]
Wonderful are your works;
    my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
    intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
    the days that were formed for me,
    when as yet there was none of them.

The affirmation for the month of May is “I acknowledge my own self-worth!”  Goddess, take the time to acknowledge your self-worth!  The Creator took His time when he designed you.  Every fiber of your being was intricately woven together to create the beautiful masterpiece that you are.  Every cell was placed together with purpose and intent. 

According to Dictionary.com, the act of knitting means “to join closely or firmly” and the act of weaving means “to compose a connected whole by combining various elements or details.”  The descriptive use of the words knitted and woven tells us that each element of who we are in the world was designed with intent.  If you study anatomy or biology you will find that animal cells are literally fixed together with cell-adhesion molecules.  Cells are joined together to form tissues, and tissues are joined together to form organs.  The organs work together to create a functional human being.  There is careful thought and purpose interlaced in every protein, every cell, and every element of your DNA!   

You do not have to wait on anyone else to attach a price tag to your being, you set your own price, and then add taxes plus interest!  And make sure that you don’t sell yourself short!  Understand that your value does not decrease based on someone’s inability to recognize the worth that lies within!
