Vows to Myself

You were made to believe that you needed to be without fault in order to be loved, but that is not true.

I love every part of you, even the parts you perceive to be dark or broken.

I vow to never abandon you!

I vow to never disappoint you!

I vow to never choose the voice of others over what we know to be true on the inside.

I vow to protect you.

I vow to stand by you in sickness and health, in richer and poor.

I vow to give space to your voice and recognize the power behind it.

I vow to never underestimate you.

I promise to always honor your true worth.

I promise to give you room to make mistakes and to try to help you learn from those mistakes.

I promise to give you the space to continue to evolve and to live the life that you feel is best for us.

I vow to let us feel our emotions in their entirety.

We will give them space to exist first and analyze them later.

In loving us, flaws and all, I promise to remind you that we are important to others and that we make the world a better place.

I promise to not only remind you that we are enough but I will give you the space to simply be enough.

I vow to walk beside you, being your constant and consistent companion until death do we part!

I challenge you to take a few moments and write your own version of vows to yourself.
